Description

Simplex Spelling Create Lists includes all of the popular features from the previous Simplex Spelling apps while allowing teachers to enter their own spelling lists.

Each spelling list is flexible: Teachers can choose between text-to-speech or voice recordings; lessons can be turned on or off; sentences can be entered for each word; and either the default syllable option can be used, or the syllables can be recorded. Once a spelling list is created, the teacher can make this list available to a single student, a select group of students, or all students.

When a student uses Simplex Spelling Create Lists, each spelling word is broken into its accented and unaccented syllables. When a word enters the screen, its syllables drop down one-by-one and are spoken using phonemes or voice recordings. Once the word is on the screen, the student can still break it down further by using the hint button to hear each phoneme and uncover each individual phonogram. In this way Simplex Spelling Create Lists teaches multiple levels of phonological and phonemic awareness by breaking words first into syllables, highlighting the accented and unaccented syllables, and then breaking the word into the smallest units of sound, phonemes.

By using our unique “reverse phonics” approach that acts like a personal spelling coach, Simplex Spelling Create Lists guarantees success on every spelling word that a student attempts.
