About Us

Pyxwise Software Inc. is an independent developer of family friendly games and educational software targeted for mobile devices. It was co-founded by Craig Welburn B.A.Sc, B.Sc. and Lisa Welburn Ph.D. in 2011.

 

About Craig

Craig is a computer programmer with 15 years of experience in the software development industry, most of which was in the video game industry.

Craig has shipped around 30 commercial products during his career including: the TELUS Optik TV Remote Recording app for BlackBerry smart phones; Dragon Age Origins PC; Mass Effect Xbox 360/PC; Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic PC; Neverwinter Nights PC; Neverwinter Nights - Hordes of the Underdark PC; Neverwinter Nights - Shadows of Undrentide PC; FIFA'97 PC; FIFA'96 Saturn; Need for Speed II PC along with a number of EA's other popular sports titles.

Craig's experience ranges from programming to quality assurance and team lead/management. His experience has involved every aspect of the software development lifecycle including design, prototyping, implementation, testing and documentation. Craig has a strong background in object orientated programming and experience with agile software development methodologies including Scrum.

Over the years Craig has developed products in C++, ActionScript 3.0, Java, C, Assembly, PERL, Visual Basic, HTML, XML, JSON, Javascript, ASP, SQL, SQLite and OpenGL.

 

About Lisa

Lisa taught Engineering at MacEwan University for 9 years. She instructed students in the areas of Engineering Statics, Engineering Physics, and Computer Programming for Engineers. She enjoys all aspects of teaching from lectures to seminars and labs.

More Recently, Lisa became interested in literacy as she taught her children to read and write. She enjoys any opportunity to help students of all ages. Lisa's goal as an instructor is to take academically challenging work and present it in a clear and concise manner.
